Installation Guidelines
- Verify phase sequence before commissioning; if reversed, swap any two high-voltage conductors
- For two-phase-one-ground systems, connect ground to B-phase terminal
- Secondary b-point and tank grounding bolt must be reliably grounded
- CT secondary circuits must not be open-circuited during operation
- Use lifting lugs on tank for hoisting; do not use bushings for lifting
- Check oil level through inspection window before commissioning
- Ensure meter box lead seals are intact for tamper-proof operation
Dual Ratio Operation
The dual ratio metering box uses secondary ratio changeover method for flexible configuration. The V/V-12 connection method grounds the secondary b-point in voltage circuit and A.C phase current secondary loop tail ends. Inside the metering box, current secondary loop tail ends and voltage secondary b-point are connected together but not grounded. During meter installation, this common point (b) must be reliably grounded.
