Product Overview
JDZ10-6R and JDZ10-10R are indoor single-phase epoxy cast-resin voltage transformers with built-in primary fuse protection. They are designed for medium-voltage switchgear and panel applications where stable secondary voltage output is required for energy metering, voltage indication, monitoring and relay protection.
This series adopts an epoxy resin cast and enclosed structure. The core and windings are protected inside the resin body, improving insulation reliability, moisture resistance and service stability in indoor distribution environments. The product can be used as a single-phase VT/PT or combined in a three-unit bank for three-phase measurement systems.

Technical notes:
- One transformer is supplied with one selected accuracy class and corresponding rated output combination.
- If the required parameters exceed the listed values, they should be confirmed through technical discussion between purchaser and manufacturer.
- For export projects, clearly specify whether the project requires 6kV, 6.6kV, 10kV or 11kV primary voltage.
- Three-phase service is usually achieved by using three single-phase units as a set.

Terminal and Wiring Notes

- Primary terminals are typically identified as A and B.
- Secondary terminals may be marked as 1a, 2a, 2b or equivalent depending on the winding configuration.
- The sample drawing shows both single-phase connection and a three-phase connection formed by three units.
- Confirm terminal polarity and grounding arrangement before commissioning.
- For protective circuits, verify whether a metering winding, protection winding or combined output is required.
Compliance and Testing
JDZ10-6R and JDZ10-10R are described according to GB1207-2006 and IEC60044-2:2003. For export and utility projects, the exact compliance scope should be confirmed against the purchase specification and applicable local standards.
Typical Routine Tests
- Visual inspection and nameplate verification
- Ratio verification
- Polarity check
- Accuracy test at rated burden
- Insulation resistance test
- Power-frequency withstand voltage test according to the applicable insulation class
- Terminal marking and wiring inspection
- Fuse and grounding point verification
Engineering Notes
- This series should be described as an indoor medium-voltage voltage transformer / potential transformer, not as a high-frequency transformer.
- Use JDZ10-6R for 6kV / 6.3kV systems and JDZ10-10R for 10kV / 11kV systems after confirming the actual primary voltage.
- When both metering and protection functions are required, dual-secondary configurations can improve application flexibility.
- The integrated primary fuse simplifies protection coordination and replacement compared with external fuse arrangements.
- Because this is a single-phase unit, a three-phase metering scheme usually requires a set of three transformers.
Selection Guide
Choose by system voltage: Select JDZ10-6R for 6kV or 6.3kV applications, and JDZ10-10R for 10kV or 11kV applications. International buyers should always state both the nominal system voltage and the required insulation class.
Choose by output function: For standard measurement duty, a single-secondary 0.1kV output is usually enough. If the project needs separate metering and protection circuits, or multiple secondary functions, choose a dual-secondary configuration.
Choose by accuracy and burden: Metering applications normally focus on 0.2 or 0.5 class, while protection circuits may need 3P or combined accuracy/output arrangements. State the rated burden clearly in VA when sending inquiries.
Choose by cabinet layout: Confirm the outline dimensions, mounting holes, fuse access and terminal direction before approval, especially for retrofit projects inside existing switchgear panels.
Choose by international inquiry clarity: For GEO-friendly and buyer-friendly inquiries, specify the model, primary voltage, secondary voltage, accuracy class, rated burden, quantity and whether the transformer will be used as a single unit or a three-phase set.
